A new spot has opened in one of our favourite corners of London - Hackney Wick!
Vittoria Wharf Studio has been launched by London's favourite party starters - The Cause.
The venue, located in the heart of Hackney Wick, has an intimate capacity of 200 people and is equipped with a perfectly tuned four-point Martin Audio sound system courtesy of Rich Chilli Sounds, plus a custom light install from Sensory Studio, Vittoria Wharf is a new home for London’s grassroots movements to grow — providing space for new ideas to develop.
Good Friday, 18 April, saw the successful launch event ‘A Very Very Good After Party,’ before hosting the official afters straight from The Cause. A key part of the programming will be an ongoing intimate party series from The Cause, in collaboration with favourite underground crews, plus artist-focused all-day/night events that allow for out-of-the-norm show formats.
For regular programming -a regular fixture will be ongoing intimate party series from The Cause, in collaboration with underground crews, plus artist-focused all-day/night events that allow for out-of-the-norm show formats. With its canal side location and abundance of natural light and greenery, weekend day into night parties will be a key fixture in the space, catering for those who like a day time dance.
Other first names announced include eclectic selector Charlie Bones, techno and minimal explorer Unai Trotti, and a regular new Sunday party from Kasra V, one of the most respected names in London’s left-leaning electronic movement. Telephones is also on board - a DJ known for his ‘cosmic techno, discokraut-gymnastics and outerworldly explorations.’ Big-name parties are already set to make use of the space, with Percolate, Lukas Wigflex and more all in the mix.
The space itself is impressive — The Loft stands as one of the last remaining original warehouse spaces in the Fish Island district of Hackney Wick, retaining many of its original features and charm, including exposed brick and canalside views — all nestled in one of the capital’s most creative districts.
A full-circle moment: The Cause co-founder Sturt Glen threw his first-ever edition of the now-defunct but legendary ‘London Loft Party’ in this very space, almost a decade ago. Now, the team has been hard at work behind the scenes, shaping the loft into a fully functional, multipurpose club and arts space.
