A new 24-hour nightclub has been announced in London and is set to open on Bank Holiday weekend - 18 April 2025.
Brixton Storeys is a brand new 750 capacity venue replacing the Prince of Wales in Brixton and becomes the first venue in Brixton to be granted a 24-hour music and alcohol license.
The club has undergone renovations and features multiple spaces, including the main indoor club, The Red Room, and an intimate setting called The Boudoir. The club also offers a rooftop area, The SKY Terraces, which will host a number of outdoor events beginning in June.
Brixton Storeys aims to be a platform of inclusion for marginalized groups, especially within the LGBTQIA+ community, so expect to see a wide array of musical genres and events at the venue.
The launch event - Balearic Beat…Up on The Roof – promises to be a vibrant affair, paying homage to Alfredo Fiorito, the father of Balearic beat and the explosion of the genre in Ibiza in the 80s.
As a South Londoner, I have bemoaned the death of our nightlife in comparison to pre-COVID-19 times and I really hope that this is the start of a turnround for London’s buzzing nightlife, because London has the potential to be such a creative, vibrant and fantastic hub of characters, energy and fun times. Let’s hope Brixton Storeys is the start of many more and we see London nightlife rise like a phoenix!
